You know what. Someone is going to come along, earn my trust, my friendship, give me the care I deserve, the kind words I need, and will compliment me daily just to make me smile. And it’s going to be your loss because you couldn’t before and still can’t handle comforting me, you can’t even “try”. And it makes me sad. Simply sad. Because I love you and you’re my best friend, and I do my best to make you happy but you can’t “try” to return the kindness.
